Narahuli

Narahuli is a small coastal town and municipality in the fictional nation of Veridia. It covers about 46 square kilometers and had an estimated population of 11,800 in 2020. The town centers on a natural harbor and a market square.

The town lies on a sheltered cove along the Veridian coast, with a tropical climate and a rainy season from May to October. The surroundings include low hills, mangroves, and a nearby coral reef.

The settlement developed from a fishing village in the 15th century and grew into a municipality in 1927. Its economy historically depended on fishing and salt production, later diversifying into light manufacturing and tourism.

Fishing remains central, complemented by salt farming, crafts, and visitor services. The harbor supports inter-island trade and small-scale tourism, including boat tours to nearby reefs.

Narahuli hosts a local language variety, Narahuli Kha, alongside Veridian. The annual Festival of the Tide marks the start of the fishing season with music and markets. Local cuisine blends coastal seafood with tropical produce.

The town has two primary schools, one secondary school, and a public library. Health services are provided by a district clinic. Accessibility comes via regional roads and a weekly ferry service; electricity comes from a mix of grid and solar.
