Nanovizsgálat, often translated as nanoscopy or nanodiagnostics, refers to the techniques and methodologies used for the investigation and analysis of matter at the nanoscale. This field leverages principles from physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering to observe, characterize, and manipulate structures and phenomena at dimensions ranging from 1 to 100 nanometers. At this scale, the properties of materials can differ significantly from their bulk counterparts, leading to unique optical, electrical, and magnetic behaviors.

The primary goal of nanovizsgálat is to achieve resolutions beyond the diffraction limit of visible light, which traditionally restricts optical microscopy to around 200 nanometers.
