Namugongo
Namugongo is a significant urban area located in the Wakiso District of the Buganda Kingdom in Uganda. It is most famously known as the site of the Uganda Martyrs' Catholic Shrine. This shrine commemorates the 22 Catholic converts who were martyred between 1885 and 1887 by the Kabaka (King) of Buganda, Mwanga II.
