NOEdynamiikan

NOEdynamiikan is a theoretical framework used in computational linguistics and artificial intelligence to model the dynamic nature of natural language understanding. This framework suggests that as an agent processes language, its internal "Noema," which can be thought of as its current mental state or understanding, is continuously updated.

The term "Noema" itself is borrowed from phenomenology, referring to the content of consciousness. In NOEdynamiikan, the Noema encapsulates the agent's interpretation of the linguistic input, its prior knowledge, its goals, and its expectations. When new linguistic information is encountered, the agent's Noema is dynamically modified. This modification can involve adding new information, revising existing beliefs, resolving ambiguities, and inferring implications. The "dynamiikan" part emphasizes the continuous and interactive nature of this process.
