NFC (Near Field Communication) technology is a set of communication protocols that enable two electronic devices, one of which is usually a portable device such as a smartphone, to establish communication by bringing them within 4 cm of each other. NFC is a subset of the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, which operates at the 13.56 MHz frequency. NFC technology is used in a variety of applications, including contactless payments, data exchange, and device pairing.
