NAPeiwit
NAPeiwit, in Dutch also referred to as the NAP peptide, is a short neuropeptide derived from the larger protein Activity-Dependent Neuroprotective Protein (ADNP). The peptide is most commonly discussed in scientific literature as NAP, with the sequence NAPVSIPQ. It has been investigated for its potential to support neuronal survival and to protect against diverse forms of neural injury.
Proposed mechanisms for the effects of NAPeiwit include stabilization of the neuronal cytoskeleton, particularly through interactions
Research status and applications: NAPeiwit has been the subject of experimental and translational studies, with synthetic
