Nörojenik

Nörojenik refers to conditions or symptoms that originate from the nervous system. It encompasses a wide range of issues where the nerves themselves are the primary cause of a problem, rather than an external factor or a dysfunction of another organ system. This can include damage to nerves, abnormal nerve signaling, or diseases that affect nerve cells.

The term can be applied to various medical contexts. For example, neurogenic bladder is a condition where nerve damage affects the bladder's ability to store or empty urine. Neurogenic pain arises from damage or disease affecting the somatosensory nervous system. Neurogenic shock is a life-threatening condition that occurs after a spinal cord injury, where the nervous system loses its ability to regulate blood pressure.

Symptoms associated with neurogenic conditions can vary greatly depending on the specific nerves or parts of the nervous system affected. They might include numbness, tingling, weakness, pain, loss of sensation, problems with coordination, bladder or bowel dysfunction, or changes in autonomic functions like heart rate and blood pressure.
