Myössekä

Myössekä is not a standard lexical item in Finnish dictionaries. It is sometimes encountered as a merged form of the adverb myös (also) and the coordinating conjunction sekä (as well as). In normal Finnish orthography the two elements are typically written separately, i.e., myös and sekä, and the combined form is treated as a stylistic or colloquial variant rather than a separate word with fixed rules. Because it is not an established entry, it appears mainly in informal writing, headlines, or attempts at emphasis rather than in formal style guides.

Usage and function

The general idea conveyed by the combination is to stress that multiple elements or aspects are included or applicable. It serves as an intensifier that highlights inclusion beyond a single item. In practice, speakers and writers commonly place myös before or around a coordinated list introduced by sekä, or they place it before a clause that adds another element to what is being stated. The most common standard constructions remain using myös separately with a phrase, or using the traditional sekä ... että ... coordination.

Notes
