Mythbusters

Mythbusters is an American television series that premiered in 2003. The show featured Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who were special effects experts. Their mission was to scientifically test the validity of rumors, urban legends, movie scenes, and other popular culture claims. They would conduct experiments using a blend of scientific methods and a substantial amount of trial-and-error.

The duo, along with a team of helpers known as "Build Team" members including Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara, would investigate a myth, often breaking it down into smaller, testable components. They utilized a workshop filled with tools and equipment to construct elaborate contraptions and perform various experiments. Explosions, crashes, and often humorous scenarios were common elements of the show as they sought definitive proof or debunking.

Each episode typically focused on two or three myths. The myths ranged widely in subject matter, from historical anecdotes and scientific principles to common sayings and supposed paranormal events. The show employed a scale from "Busted" (myth is false), "Plausible" (myth is possible but not fully proven), to "Confirmed" (myth is true). Mythbusters was known for its engaging presentation, clear explanations of scientific concepts, and the hosts' charismatic personalities. The series concluded in 2016 after 14 seasons and 295 episodes.
