Mysliä is a Finnish verb that denotes thinking deeply, musing, or brooding. In modern standard Finnish it is uncommon and mainly found in older literary texts or regional dialects. The nuance is contemplative rather than practical, signaling quiet reflection, philosophical consideration, or daydreaming rather than brisk problem solving.

The attestation of mysliä is primarily historical. It appears in nineteenth‑century prose and in certain poems, and today most dictionaries classify it as archaic or literary. The exact etymology is not clearly established in contemporary sources, and the word is generally treated as a relic of traditional Finnish rather than a productive form in everyday speech. Because of its rarity, mysliä is often encountered as a stylistic choice in writing that aims to evoke a bygone era or a reflective mood.

In practice, mysliä overlaps in meaning with more common verbs such as miettiä (to think about, to consider) and pohtia (to ponder).
