Mylodontini

Mylodontini is a tribe of extinct ground sloths that lived during the Pleistocene epoch, approximately 2.6 million to 10,000 years ago. They are characterized by their large size, robust build, and distinctive molar teeth, which were adapted for grinding tough plant material. Mylodontini is a sub-tribe of the family Mylodontidae, which also includes the more familiar ground sloths like Megatherium and Glossotherium.
