Multiburst

Multiburst refers to a feature found in some digital cameras and video cameras that allows the user to capture a rapid sequence of images with a single press of the shutter button. This is often used for capturing fast-moving subjects, such as sports action or wildlife, where a single shot might miss the optimal moment. The camera typically takes multiple photos at a high frame rate for a short duration. The exact number of shots and the speed at which they are captured can vary between different camera models and settings. Some cameras may also offer adjustable multiburst modes, allowing the user to select the desired burst length or frame rate. The resulting images can then be reviewed, and the best one or ones can be kept, while the others can be deleted. This feature is distinct from continuous shooting modes, which capture images as long as the shutter button is held down, and often at a slightly lower frame rate.
