Muistitasot
Muistitasot is a term referring to different levels or stages of memory. While there isn't a single universally agreed-upon scientific classification, the concept often distinguishes between short-term memory, long-term memory, and sometimes a sensory memory buffer. Sensory memory is the briefest, holding a fleeting impression of sensory information. Short-term memory, also known as working memory, has a limited capacity and duration, holding information actively for a short period, typically seconds to a few minutes, unless it is rehearsed or processed further. Long-term memory, in contrast, has a vast capacity and can store information for extended periods, from days to a lifetime.
Within long-term memory, further distinctions are often made between explicit (declarative) memory and implicit (non-declarative) memory.
