MovingLightVarianten

MovingLightVarianten refers to a family of automated, motorized luminaires used in stage and event lighting. They provide repositionable light with various effects and are designed for rapid cueing.

Common variants include moving heads (spot, wash, beam) with pan-tilt movement, as well as larger multi-head, rotating yoke or panel-based fixtures; hybrid fixtures that combine spot, wash, and beam in a single housing exist. Fixtures are differentiated by optics and effects: gobos, color mixing.

Light sources vary: discharge lamps historically; modern variants often use LED engines that offer lower power draw and longer life. Optical systems include fast zoom, focus, and lens options; color systems include color wheels, CMY dichroic, or LED color mixing. Gobo wheels, prisms, frost.

Control and integration: standard control via DMX512; wider networks via Art-Net, sACN; remote management with RDM; compatibility with lighting consoles; pixel mapping.
