MossEssi

MossEssi is a conceptual art project exploring the intersection of nature and technology, often manifesting as interactive installations. The name itself is a portmanteau of "moss," representing organic growth and the natural world, and "AI," signifying artificial intelligence and digital systems. The project aims to create dialogue around the potential symbiosis or conflict between these two seemingly disparate realms.

The installations frequently involve living moss cultivated on digital displays or integrated with sensors that respond to environmental data or audience interaction. For instance, a piece might feature moss that visibly changes color or texture based on real-time pollution levels detected by nearby sensors. Another could use biofeedback from a participant's presence to alter the patterns of light or sound emitted by the artwork, creating a feedback loop between the human, the natural, and the digital.

MossEssi is not a single artist or group but rather a fluid concept that has been realized by various artists and technologists.
