Morvash is a coastal city-state in the fictional realm of Eldoria. It serves as the capital of the Morvashi Dominion and as a major center for maritime trade, scholarship, and craft. Located at the mouth of the Silver River along a sheltered harbor, Morvash has long depended on seaborne commerce and skilled guilds for its wealth and influence.

Geography and economy: The harbor is protected by basalt headlands and a stone seawall. The city’s districts climb from the quays to hilltop sanctuaries. The economy centers on shipbuilding, timber, glassmaking, textiles, and the exchange of spices, resin, and manuscripts. Morvash operates a complex system of guilds that regulate trade, quality, and apprenticeships.

History: Founded by maritime guilds in the early medieval era, Morvash grew as a trading hub under competing regional powers. It attained de facto independence as a city-state after a series of sieges and negotiated truces, eventually forming a compact governance with the Guild Princes. The Morvashi Library, established in the 10th century, became a renowned center for manuscript production.
