Morrestales is a small town and municipality in the central valley region of Eldoria, a fictional country. It sits along the Mora River, about 60 kilometers north of Crestmoor, the provincial capital. The surrounding landscape features rolling farmland, mixed woodland, and a short stretch of steep ravines to the east. The name Morrestales is of uncertain origin; local tradition links it to early settlers and to an old river language that described a place where water and stone meet.

Morrestales was founded in the 14th century as a farming and milling site on the Mora. By the 19th century it developed small-scale textile production powered by river mills. The town expanded slowly in the early 20th century and modernized its infrastructure after the Second World War, while preserving several intact historical buildings.

Economy and demographics: As of 2023, Morrestales has about 5,200 residents. The economy remains primarily agricultural, complemented by light manufacturing, local crafts, and tourism tied to its scenic river and nearby nature trails. The town hosts a weekly market and produces cheeses and fruit wines.

Culture and landmarks: Notable sites include the Old Mill, St. Katherine's Church, and Morrestales Falls, a small cascaded rapids popular with hikers. The annual Harvest Festival in late summer is a focal community event.
