Moplahs
The Moplahs, also known as Mapillas or Mappilas, are a community primarily found in the Malabar region of Kerala, India, with significant populations also in parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. They are predominantly Sunni Muslims who trace their origins to Arab and Persian traders, settlers, and missionaries who arrived in the region during the medieval period.
