Monoplace

Monoplace is a term used to denote a vehicle or device designed for a single occupant. The word combines mono- meaning single and place meaning seat or occupancy. In aviation, monoplace refers to aircraft configured for solo flight, in contrast with two-seat or multi-seat configurations. Monoplace aircraft are common in sport and utility segments, including single-seat sailplanes (gliders) and ultralight aircraft.
