Monikeskuksiset

In urban geography and planning, monikeskuksiset regions or kaupunkiasutukset refer to polycentric configurations with several urban cores. In biology and cytology the term can describe structures or cells that contain several centers of activity, nuclei, or growth zones. A common example is multinucleate cells, such as certain muscle fibers or syncytial formations in fungi, where multiple nuclei or centers of control operate within a shared cytoplasm or tissue.
