Molduga

Molduga is a large, sand-dwelling monster found in the Gerudo Desert region of Hyrule in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. These creatures resemble enormous, armored worms with a formidable maw filled with sharp teeth. Molduga are blind, sensing their prey through vibrations in the sand. They spend most of their time submerged, only surfacing when they detect movement.

When a Molduga surfaces, it will charge at its target, attempting to swallow them whole. Their primary weakness is their reliance on vibrations. Players can use items like bombs or even their own footsteps to lure a Molduga out of the sand. Once the Molduga leaps into the air, it is vulnerable to aerial attacks. Alternatively, players can use Stasis to freeze the creature in mid-air, allowing for multiple hits before it lands.

Defeating a Molduga rewards players with valuable items, including Molduga Guts, which are potent ingredients for elixirs that increase attack power. They are considered one of the more challenging enemies in the Gerudo Desert, requiring strategic combat and awareness of their environmental behavior. They are solitary creatures and are typically found in specific areas of the desert, often marked by distinctive rocky formations.
