Mittetasustatud

Mittetasustatud is a non-English Estonian adjective formed from the prefix mitte- meaning not and tasustatud meaning saturated. It is used to describe states or conditions that have not reached saturation. The term is not among the most common equivalents in scientific writing, but it can appear in technical or regional texts as an alternative way to express a lack of saturation.

In practice, the standard Estonian terms for unsaturated are küllastumata or mitte küllastunud. Mittetasustatud may be encountered as a stylistic variant or in contexts where writers prefer a negation of saturation without adopting the more widely used forms. Because it is less established, its meaning is best inferred from context, and readers should be aware that it can be supplanted by the conventional terminology in many texts.
