Minneapolis

Minneapolis is the largest city in Minnesota by population and the county seat of Hennepin County. Located on both banks of the Mississippi River, it forms the core of the Twin Cities metropolitan area with Saint Paul, the state capital. The city is nicknamed The City of Lakes for its many urban and suburban lakes and its extensive park system.

Founded in the 19th century, Minneapolis grew as a milling and industrial hub and later diversified into finance, health care, and education. Today it hosts a range of corporate headquarters and regional offices, including Target Corporation.
