Microphthalmos

Microphthalmos is a congenital condition characterized by abnormally small eyes. It is a rare disorder that can occur in isolation or as part of a syndrome. The condition is typically diagnosed in infancy or early childhood, and its severity can vary widely, ranging from mild to severe. The diagnosis of microphthalmos is typically made through a combination of physical examination, imaging studies, and genetic testing. Treatment options vary depending on the severity of the condition and the presence of associated symptoms.
