Metastaattiseen
Metastaattiseen is a Finnish medical term that translates to "metastatic" in English. It describes the spread of cancer from its original site to other parts of the body. When cancer cells break away from the primary tumor, they can travel through the bloodstream or lymphatic system to form new tumors in distant organs or tissues. This process is known as metastasis.
Metastatic cancer is generally more challenging to treat than cancer that is confined to its original location.
