It refers to a manufacturing process where metal powders are compacted and then sintered to create solid metal parts. This method allows for the production of complex shapes and intricate designs that might be difficult or impossible to achieve with traditional metalworking techniques like casting or machining.

The process begins with the production of fine metal powders, which can be made from various metals and alloys.
