Meierijstad

Meierijstad is a municipality in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It was established on January 1, 2017, through the merger of the former municipalities of Schijndel, Sint-Oedenrode, and Veghel. The name "Meierijstad" is derived from the historical "Meijerij," a region in North Brabant.

The municipality encompasses several towns and villages, with Veghel serving as the administrative center. Other significant settlements include Schijndel, Sint-Oedenrode, Eerde, Boskant, Boerdonk, Den Dungen, Gemonde, Heeswijk-Dinther, and Nijnsel. Meierijstad is characterized by its rural landscape, agricultural activities, and a mix of historical and modern infrastructure.

Economically, Meierijstad is diverse. Veghel has a strong industrial base, particularly in food processing and logistics.
