Veghel

Veghel is a town in the Dutch province of North Brabant. Since 2017 it is part of the municipality of Meierijstad, which was formed by merging Veghel, Schijndel, and Sint-Oedenrode.

The town lies in the Brabantine countryside in central North Brabant, with a history dating back to the medieval period. It developed from a market village and grew through agriculture and trade, and in the 20th century expanded into light industry and logistics.

Today Veghel is an important local center for agriculture-related processing, distribution and service companies, and hosts several business parks.

The town is connected by road and regional public transport, with easy access to major Dutch cities via highways.

The center includes historic streets and churches, shops, schools, and recreational facilities, and there are local events and markets.
