Meibocytes

Meibocytes, also known as meibocytes or meibum cells, are a type of cell found in the meibomian glands of humans and other mammals. These glands are located in the eyelids and are responsible for producing meibum, a type of sebum that helps to lubricate and protect the eyes.

These conditions occur when the meibum is not produced or secreted properly, leading to dryness and irritation of the eyes.
