Megamouth
Megamouth is a rare species of deep-sea shark, scientifically known as Megachasma pelagios. It is one of only three extant species of filter-feeding sharks, alongside the whale shark and the basking shark. The megamouth shark is characterized by its large head and enormous mouth, which can be up to 15% of its total body length. Its snout is blunt and bulbous, and its teeth are small and numerous, adapted for filtering plankton and small fish from the water.
