MediaQualified is a term used in media planning and digital advertising to describe media assets, placements, or audiences that have met predefined quality and eligibility criteria for use in campaigns. The concept encompasses both creative content and distribution channels, emphasizing licensing permissions, safety, accessibility, and technical suitability.

Typical criteria include: clear licensing rights and usage terms; brand safety and content suitability; technical specifications such as resolution, encoding, and format; metadata completeness; accessibility features like captions; viewability metrics; fraud checks; geographic and demographic eligibility; consent and privacy compliance (for example, GDPR and CCPA); and compatibility with targeted devices and platforms.

Qualification is usually performed by automated checks integrated into asset management or programmatic platforms, supplemented by manual reviews for high-risk assets. A certification or qualification tag is attached to the asset or placement, enabling buyers to filter inventory in buying workflows.
