Maveåndedræt
Maveåndedræt, also known as diaphragmatic breathing or abdominal breathing, is a relaxation technique that involves conscious, deep breathing. It focuses on utilizing the diaphragm, a large, dome-shaped muscle located at the base of the chest cavity, to facilitate full lung expansion. Unlike shallow chest breathing, which primarily engages the upper chest muscles, maveåndedræt encourages the abdomen to rise as the diaphragm contracts and pulls air deep into the lungs.
To practice maveåndedræt, one typically inhales slowly through the nose, allowing the abdomen to expand outward.
