Matinnsamling

Matinnsamling, also known as morning collection, is a traditional practice in some Scandinavian countries, particularly in Sweden and Norway. It involves the collection of milk from dairy cows in the early morning hours, typically between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM. This practice is a remnant of the agricultural past and is still carried out by some farmers today.

The process begins with the farmer or a hired worker waking up early to milk the cows. The milk is then collected and transported to a local dairy or processing plant. In some cases, the milk is sold directly to the farmer, while in others, it is sold to a cooperative or a larger dairy company.
