Materyaldir

Materyaldir is a Turkish grammatical form that combines the noun materyal, meaning material, with the third-person singular present copula -dır. The resulting word denotes a predicative statement equivalent to the English phrase “is a material.” It is used to identify or classify an object or concept as belonging to the category of materials rather than another type.

In Turkish, predication with a copula follows the noun, with the ending adapting to vowel harmony.
