Marginaliserer

Marginaliserer is a Danish verb meaning to marginalize, that is, to push individuals or groups to the margins of society and limit their access to resources, opportunities, or influence. The noun marginalisering refers to the act or process, and marginaliseret describes someone or something that has been marginalized.

In sociology and political discourse, marginalization describes how structural conditions such as economic inequality, discrimination, and unequal access to institutions exclude groups from full participation in social, economic, and political life.

Mechanisms include exclusion from labor markets and education, barriers to housing and health care, underrepresentation in media and decision-making bodies, language barriers, stigma, and policies that fail to accommodate diverse needs.
