Mangalia
Mangalia is a municipality and a port city located on the Black Sea coast in Constanța County, Romania. Situated in the historical region of Dobruja, it is the southernmost major Romanian port. The city's history stretches back to antiquity, with evidence of Thracian settlements and later a Greek colony named Callatis. The Romans also established a significant presence, developing it into an important commercial center. Throughout the centuries, Mangalia experienced periods of prosperity and decline under various rulers, including the Byzantines, Bulgarians, and Ottomans.
