Mandrellins

Mandrellins are a fictional species appearing in the science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager. They are a silicon-based lifeform native to the Delta Quadrant. Mandrellins are characterized by their crystalline structure and their ability to communicate through resonant frequencies. In the series, the crew of Voyager encounters a Mandrellin named Nallac, who is initially perceived as a threat due to the species' unusual nature and Nallac's isolated behavior.

The Mandrellins' physiology is significantly different from carbon-based lifeforms.
