Mallats

Mallats, also known as the Mallat algorithm, is a mathematical technique used in signal processing and image compression. It was developed by Stéphane Mallat in the early 1980s and is a fundamental tool in the field of wavelet theory. The Mallat algorithm is particularly notable for its ability to efficiently compute the wavelet transform, which is a method of representing a signal in terms of wavelets.

The wavelet transform decomposes a signal into different frequency components, and the Mallat algorithm provides a fast and efficient way to perform this decomposition.
