Maewo

Maewo is an island in the Shefa Province of Vanuatu. It is one of the largest islands in the country, measuring approximately 11 kilometers (6.8 miles) long and 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) wide. The island is characterized by its lush vegetation, volcanic origins, and rugged terrain, with many steep cliffs and dense rainforests. Maewo's highest point reaches over 600 meters.

The population of Maewo is relatively small, with most inhabitants living in villages along the coast.
