MMSC stands for Multimedia Messaging Service Center, a core component of mobile networks responsible for the delivery of multimedia messages. It handles messages that combine text, images, audio, and video, enabling users to send multimedia content between mobile devices and, in some cases, to or from email or internet destinations. The MMSC functions as a store-and-forward server, receiving an MMS from a sender, storing the content, and delivering it to the recipient.
