MATLABOctaves

MATLABOctaves is a MATLAB toolbox for octave-band and fractional-octave analysis of audio signals. It provides a MATLAB-native workflow for computing energy and level statistics across standard octave bands, useful in acoustics, audio engineering, and music research.

Key features include a configurable octave filter bank that supports 1/1 and 1/3 octave divisions, standard center frequencies, and optional windowing. It derives octave-band energies from time-domain data, computes spectral density, and exports results as MATLAB structures or CSV. Visualization tools plot octave-band spectra, bar charts, and simple histograms, with optional A-weighting or C-weighting.
