Mälupõhine refers to a computing approach where data is primarily stored and processed in random-access memory (RAM) rather than on traditional hard disk drives (HDDs) or solid-state drives (SSDs). This strategy leverages the significantly faster read and write speeds of RAM to accelerate application performance and data processing.

The concept of mälupõhine computing is not new, but its widespread adoption has been facilitated by decreasing RAM costs and increasing memory capacities.
