Lónsskarð
Lónsskarð is a glacial valley located in the northern part of Iceland, specifically within the Vatnajökull National Park. It is situated at an elevation of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level and is characterized by its steep, glacier-carved walls and deep, U-shaped trough. The valley is primarily formed by the erosion of the Vatnajökull glacier, one of the largest ice caps in Europe, over thousands of years. The glacier's movement has sculpted the landscape, creating a series of moraines and other glacial features within the valley.
