In electronics, particularly in radio frequency (RF) and signal processing, a low-noise front-end (LNA) is a critical component designed to amplify weak signals with minimal introduction of additional noise. The primary purpose of an LNA is to boost the signal strength immediately after it has been received or detected, before it undergoes further processing or transmission.

The effectiveness of a low-noise front-end is measured by its noise figure. A lower noise figure indicates that the amplifier adds less noise to the signal.
