Lähimaksu is the Finnish term for near-field or contactless payment using wireless technology, typically NFC (near-field communication). It refers to a method that allows customers to pay for small purchases by tapping a payment card, a mobile phone, or another compatible device at a payment terminal without entering a PIN for every transaction.
