Lyijylasit, often translated as leaded glass or stained glass, refers to a decorative art form and architectural element that involves creating images or designs using pieces of colored glass held together by strips of lead. These strips, called cames, are typically H-shaped in cross-section, with the glass edges fitting into the grooves. The lead provides structural integrity and also contributes to the visual aesthetic, forming dark lines that define the different colored segments of the artwork.
