Luxmittarilla

Luxmittarilla is a Finnish term that refers to the use of a lux meter to measure illuminance. A lux meter measures the amount of light falling on a surface, expressed in lux (lx), where one lux equals one lumen per square meter. Modern devices use a photodetector with a spectral response approximating the human eye; readings are processed and calibrated to provide illuminance values, often corrected for the sensor’s spectral sensitivity and orientation to the light source.
