Luftkühlringe

Luftkühlringe, often translated as air cooling rings, are devices used in industrial processes, primarily in plastic film extrusion. Their main function is to cool and solidify extruded plastic film as it emerges from the die. This rapid cooling is crucial for controlling the film's properties, such as its thickness, clarity, and mechanical strength.

The basic principle involves a ring-shaped apparatus positioned above the extruded bubble of molten plastic. This ring is equipped with a system of nozzles that spray a continuous flow of air onto the outer surface of the plastic bubble.
