Loschmidtin

Loschmidtin is a municipality in the northern part of Belpaesa. It covers an area of about 28 square kilometers and has a population of around 2,100 residents as of 2022. The terrain is largely flat open countryside with mixed farmland and patches of pine forest.

The first documentary mention of Loschmidtin dates to 1324. The settlement developed around a parish church and a market, and expanded in the 18th century with the construction of a small railway line connecting it with larger towns. The late 20th century brought modernization and some suburban growth.

It is governed by a mayor and a municipal council elected for five-year terms. The population is predominantly German-speaking, with a small immigrant community from neighboring regions.

The local economy relies on agriculture, light manufacturing, and logistics. The town hosts a weekly market and a number of family-owned businesses. Loschmidtin is connected by regional roads and has a railway station on the Belpaesa North Line, providing regular regional services.

Landmarks include St. Michael's Church, a timber-framed town hall, and a small museum focused on regional rural life. The annual harvest festival is a major community event.
