Logistyce, a term used in some Central European languages, refers to the field commonly known in English as logistics. It covers the planning, implementation, and control of the efficient flow and storage of goods, services, and information from origin to consumption to meet customer requirements, while optimizing cost, speed, and reliability. The discipline integrates management of supply chains, transportation, warehousing, inventory, and information systems.

Core activities include supply chain management, freight and carrier management, warehousing, inventory control, order processing, packaging, and reverse logistics.

Processes involve demand forecasting, procurement, network design, route optimization, inventory optimization, and customs clearance for international shipments. Information technology such as enterprise resource planning systems, transportation management systems, and warehouse management systems plays a central role in coordinating these activities, while data standards and tracking technologies (RFID, GPS) increase visibility.

Trends and challenges include digitalization, e-commerce-driven fulfillment, sustainability, risk management, and resilience. Metrics commonly used assess on-time delivery, service level, inventory turnover, and total landed cost. In business practice, effective logistyce aims to balance cost and service by aligning supplier, transporter, warehouse, and customer activities within the supply chain.
